Helping Parents Connect in SB

I have a bunch of parents who have never connected with their scout in SB. They now want to, but have new email addresses. When I try to update the connection, I am sent to IA and it says there is no adult connected to our troop with that name. When I try to update it through the scout’s profile information, it takes me to a new page and I am able to update the email, but it never updates back in the SB 'connections" for that scout. So when I try to “resend” the invite, it will only go to the dead email, not the updated one. Help??? Thank you

If they never connected you should be able to delete the connection and just make a new one

I can’t figure out how to do this. Since they have moved the membership information over to IA and it is not in SB I can’t update the parent’s email in SB. When I try to update his information in SB, it takes me over to IA and tells me the parent can’t be found as an adult listed with our troop. That is because all the parents aren’t actually registered with the troop as 'members" so I am really confused as to the next steps to update his email in SB. When I update the parent’s email from the scouts profile, it updates there, but not for the connection in SB.

@LauraCripe did the parent complete the connection? Is the Chain icon open or closed?

I am guessing they never connected. The link looks closed to me, but I can’t tell. It has two links and the top one is orange. But that is also how my kids’ look and I am connected to them.
