Hello, I work at the local council level. I had a leader call because he could not get cub scout adventures to go back to an approved status so that he could put them on a purchase order. He said that another Key 3 had entered and “awarded” everything. He tried to change them back and received an error in return. I can correct them at the council level as an admin. I had to do each adventure individually. Is there a better way? How can the Leaders do this without the council’s help?
That isn’t enough information for us to help. What error? What position does the leader hold? It is typically best if the person having trouble asks here directly.
As for “is there a better way?” No, awarded can only be removed by going to each award and clearing the check box.
The error said “requirement can’t be updated since the advancement is already awarded.” Leader position is Committee Chair and Unit Advancement Chair.
What process did the leader use? All that should need to be done is to go to the advancement item, uncheck Awarded and click Save.
