Hello,
My unit rechartered in December, but I still have non-renewed members showing up on my roster in my.scouting . I have a couple of youth going to Philmont this summer who are now 18 and need to join as adults, but can’t because they’re youth memberships are still attached to our unit. Can someone please help me understand how to “refresh” my roster to prune these members?
Thank you.

@BrianArcher Having a youth memberships does not come into play - as long as 18+ they can register as Adults online or with paper. All memberships have a 90 day grace period for mistakes that is why you still see them most likely.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve had 3 boys try to register as adults over the past 2 months and all 3 got an error message saying they could not complete registration because they were already registered with a unit. My son is one of the scouts. I can have him try again so I can capture the details.
@BrianArcher
A paper application is required to move from a youth to adult application. The system does not support an online registration for this.

Online might not work for Scout to Adult - I think paper is required

I believe in the past they could register online, but only after they fell off the roster. That’s why I was asking for help with that initially. Is it possible to drop them, since they technically aren’t able to continue as youth anyway? They are expired now but still showing up.
Thanks.
@BrianArcher
There is no way to drop someone in the grace period. We have been told that hte only way to convert from a youth registration to adult registration is via a paper application. Contact your Council office for more information.

Fair enough. How long is the grace period?
It is currently 3 months but I suggest just submitting paper apps and not waiting. With the state of the registration system there is no guarantee they will be able to register online even after the grace period ends.
