I am missing a scout in my scout book plus Roster

I am missing a scout in my scout book plus roster. He shows in my scout book legacy roster but when I go to my scout book plus roster to update his advancement he is missing from the roster. If I try to go update using the quick entry the scout shows as opted out. I have checked his registration in my.scouting.org and his parents renewed in October. How do I get this issue fixed?

@AllenFoster post the Scouts Member # (no names)

140615523 - FYI he is registered to two troops.

this may be part of the issue. Legacy scoutbook shows two member ID’s. the one I posted above is the old ID and the one that I see as renewed in my.scouting.org. this is the new memberID. 136463537. So maybe when they renewed it created a new member ID that is not showing up in my troop.

@AllenFoster if he is in 2 councils that an issue

@AllenFoster a Scoutbook Account can only have 1 Member # - each council have their own Member #s - so there is no great way to handle this. The scout can have 2 different users that will never match up until the units individually add things. Or the Scout can have one user and that is where their record is kept.

why would that be an issue? We have been able to have him in two different councils in the past

@AllenFoster with the move to SB+ that is more limited now. We are thinking it out. Watch the change log.

the scout is supposed to be assigned to my unit as primary. and the unit in the other council as secondary. Is there a way to re-assign? or do I need to have the other troop transfer him back to my unit? He camps with that unit occasionally as that is where his dad lives. but the rest of the time he is with my unit.

I am dad, I have verified that the scout is Primary in the correct council/unit for registration. But in scoutbook he is set as the secondary/multiple council/unit. He needs to have scoutbook corrected to show member ID # 140615523 as his current and not previous ID. Can that be accomplished with scoutbook support?

Primary registration means nothing - we can set whatever MID as the one in SB - the issue is when the other registration is touched by the other council it can cause automatic changes

Under Manage Member ID in my.scouting.org - you have the MID for Houston as Primary - that is likely what caused the other to switch in SB - both are now fixed

I am not sure how the scout was set in MID to SHAC. I cannot see him at all in either for MID. Regardless I do see him on the roster now. I appreciate your assistance.

I have a similar issue in my Troop where a Scout shows up in Scoutbook Legacy but is missing in Scoutbook Plus Roster.

Scout has two member IDs:

Current Member ID: 141634903

Previous Member ID: 137453790

Is there anything I can do to resolve it myself? Thanks

@RajkumarChinnaswamy looks like this scout is registered in 2 councils and therefore split accounts - are they active in T2273 and Crew 1?

@DonovanMcNeil - Thanks for the reply, the Scout is active only in T2273.

@RajkumarChinnaswamy They are registered in both? and the Crew registration is newer

@DonovanMcNeil - I see the Scout in the T2273 unit roster in my.scouting.org, the member id #137453790 shows status as re-registered with an expiration date of 12-31-2026. Is it possible to make this member ID the current one?

OK it is changed but the scout needs to communicate with us so we can set things up right for them

Thank you very much. Is there an email address or phone number they should reach out to? I believe they tried to resolve it through the local Council and it was never fixed.
