I have 3 Member IDs, none of which appear to be set up correctly

I currently have three Member IDs. As you’ll see below, none of them appear to be set up correctly. I believe the only Member ID I should be using moving forward is 14787205, can the other two simply bel deleted once everything is correctly updated on 14787205?

14787205

  • I use a User Name and PW to access this account for my.scouting and Scoutbook.
  • All of the information in the “My Profile” section of my.scouting is correct for this Member ID.
  • In my.scouting I am assigned to the correct council for this Member ID (Greater Los Angeles Area 033)
  • When I sign into Scoutbook with this Member ID, under “My Account” my Member ID does not show up under my “SB User ID”.
  • In Scoutbook, under “My Account” I appear to be linked to council W.L.A.C.C. #051, not Greater Los Angeles Area 033 as in my.scouting.
  • In Scoutbook, under “My Account” I am not linked to my Pack (968) or my scout.

  • I use an email address and PW to access this account for my.scouting and Scoutbook.
  • My First Name, and date of birth in the “My Profile” section of my.scouting is incorrect, and I believe what may be preventing me from adding this Member ID under “Manage Member ID” when logged into Member ID 14787205. Can you please update the “My Profile” information based on the profile information in Member ID 14787205)
  • In my.scouting I am assigned W.L.A.C.C. #051, but I should not be.
  • When I sign into Scoutbook with this Member ID, under “My Account” my Member ID does show up correctly under my “SB User ID”.
  • In Scoutbook, the correct Pack shows up under “My Units” and I currently manage my scout and all RSVPs under this account.
  • In Scoutbook, under “My Account” it shows I’m correctly linked to Greater Los Angeles Area (however, this conflicts with what’s in my.scouting W.L.A.C.C. #051)

14787202

  • I use google login to access this account for my.scouting and Scoutbook. This is the same google account tied to the gmail email address I use to access Member ID 14794725.
  • My First Name, in the “My Profile” section of my.scouting is incorrect, and I believe what may be preventing me from adding this Member ID under “Manage Member ID” when logged into Member ID 14787205. Can you please update the “My Profile” information based on the profile information in Member ID 14787205)
  • In my.scouting I am assigned Greater Los Angeles Area 033 correctly.
  • When I sign into Scoutbook with this Member ID, under “My Account” my Member ID does not show up under my “SB User ID”.
  • In Scoutbook, under “My Account” I am not linked to my Pack (968) or my scout.
  • In Scoutbook, under “My Account” it shows I’m correctly linked to Greater Los Angeles Area.

@MattLee2 BSA member numbers cannot be deleted, but they can be managed.

I have set BSA member number 14787205 as primary, because that one has your Adult Partner registration and is in the correct council.

You have 3 usernames at my.scouting. One is a username with some numbers, one has Google sign in turned on, and the third one is an e-mail address. If you let us know which username you would like to keep, we can retire the others.

I would recommend that you contact your local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up your Scout. In the “Relationships” section, they should make sure that you are listed as parent under BSA member number 14787205. They should remove your other BSA member numbers there.

My COR has 2 memberships, (removed by Moderator) 114868126 this was his original one and he is listed as my COR in SB and My.scouting. We can’t log into that account, we tried account recovery and it can’t find him. His new log in is with 14063620, we can get him logged in with this account but he has no access to our unit with this number. Can you please help??

@CraigSherratt that is all fixed

Wow thank you!!! that is amazing!!

Thank you, much appreciated, almost magical! I feel like that moment in Fantasia when the Sorcerer, Yen Sid, walks in on Mickey’s mess.

I would like to retain the username with some numbers; please retire the other two.

I’ll reach out to my local council as you recommended.

:v:t3:

@MattLee2 The other 2 usernames have been retired.
