To be clear, you are saying you have adults who recently applied to be MBCs or already are MBCs and asked to add one or more merit badges to their list? Not that you have a scout who wants to work with the MBC?
@MichaelOsvath adding merit badges for MBCs is a Registrar Tools task now - I would start by talking to council staff
Yes assigning badges bassed on information sheet to MBC
Council Admins, some council staff and maybe certain district level volunteers, will have an Edit button next to MBCs on the MB Counselor pages. This Edit button can be used to change MBs and MBC counsels. The other method is via Council staff making the changes with Registrar Tools.
Registrars can now assign MBs to MBCs at the same time they are being registered, there is no longer a need to wait 24 hours.
I am the Council’s Advancement Chair and one of my tasks is to keep a good/current MBC list for our districts.
I seen a new edit link in the SB+ program for each of our MBCs in the council and it lets me add or delete specific MBs.
I tried removing one MB from my list and add MB one to another MBC and it did work as expected. But when I check the database on the my.scouting MB database it did not update the changes made. I waited to see if it would update after an overnight run and it is still the remains the same.
Will the changes made in Scoutbook+ link over to the my.scouting MB database?
We were told the changes take 24 hours because if you remove a badge today, it has today as the expiration date, thus remains until tomorrow.
We will need Scouting America Member ID (no names) and removed MB for those you removed yesterday in order for the developers to investigate.
It has been through two overnights runs and the my.scouting list has not updated.
The two changes were as follows
100791780 removed Cit is Society and 7742874 added Personal Mgmt.
Please verify and correct and let me know if i did something incorrectly.

I just checked the my.scouting MBC database and the two changes i made as noted earlier have not crossed over to both databases. It is correct in the SB+ system where I used the edit button. I do not wish to make changes as they come in unless it is working properly.
I believe it has been over 4 nights to see if they would sync up but it hasn’t. Is someone looking into this or do I need to do something else to get the two databases to match?
Any updates or input to this issue would be greatly appreciated.
