I was able to upload a JPG (172 kb) of a blue card earlier today as Troop Admin. It did not accept the PDF, so I hack/pasted it into a single JPG. Got the blue dot spinner but then saved the date at top left and when it refreshed, the picture was there.
Yeah it seems they did not know HEIC would upload - seems alot of browsers will not show HEICs but that is all Iphones record. DEVs are looking for a solution to this.
That’s been a thorn in my side in my professional life as well.
By default. You can change it, but it won’t be easy getting everyone to change it. Then their old photos would still be HEIC.

Following up, the currently supported file types are JPG and PNG. We have requested to allow HEIC, but we don’t not know when or if that will be implemented. The file size limit is pretty big (over 50 MB) but could be really slow.
Thanks. Any Browser compatibility issues. I still am not able to upload any pictures
Were you able to confirm the format is either jpg or png?
I’m also wondering if you got caught up by the recent permissions revision. I would check with one of your unit Key 3/Key 3 Delegates to look at what your permissions are in SB+ under the just released permissions updates.
ETA: Here’s the reference post with links to the descriptive documents of the changes:

Are you on a mobile device or PC? What browser are you using? Are you trying to add pics to an advancement comment?
I am on laptop.
Chrome / Edge tried both
Yes I am trying to add pics to Rank entries and Comments for Rank/MB/Awards/Activities etc
What’s the file type and size?
