Why is the email showing up as changeyouremail@scoutbook.com when the correct email is entered in my.scouting.org? How do we change it? It isn’t working to go into scoutbook and simply make the change. It says that there is already that email in the system.
This is an indication that the e-mail is tied to another account in Scoutbook. Scoutbook requires every account to have a unique e-mail address while my.scouting.org does not.
Is this an e-mail address that is shared within a family? If not, then it is most likely a case where the user has 2 accounts in Scoutbook. If the e-mail address is valid and only used by 1 individual, you will need to contact scoutbook.support@scouting.org with name, BSA#, council and unit and ask them to search for duplicate accounts or the account with the duplicate e-mail address.
