Hrm…I’m seeing something similar this morning when I transfer from being logged in on Scoutbook or when I log in directly to scoutbook.scouting.org
I’m using Win 10 (fully patched) Firefox 81.0.2 (looks like I need to update that one). I get a continuously spinning 4-dot symbol. In a Private Browsing window, I get: “Error. Not found.” as a pop-up, then the window simply hangs, with the reCaptcha loading symbol spinning next to “Login”. reCaptcha eventually returns “Verification expired. Check the checkbox again.”
A slightly different behavior is observed under Chrome (fully patched 86.0.4240.111). When I log in directly from scoutbook.scouting.org, filling out username, password and clicking “I am not a robot” checkbox goes fine. After clicking “Login” button, the system hangs for a while then the reCaptcha timeout error described above hits. If I attempt it under an incognito window in Chrome, I simply get “Error. Not Found.” Then, reCaptcha eventually returns the timeout error described above. View is functionally the same as in the snapshot above from Firefox. I see identical behavior under Chrome on Android.
Clearing cache (either in part or in toto) in each browser in each OS does not resolve the issue.
I’m wondering if the issue is related to how the redirect is occurring between the authentication page and scoutbook.scouting.org. That is, even without re-entering my credentials, when I went to my.scouting.org after an apparently failed attempt to login to scoutbook.scouting.org, my dashboard automatically popped-up, as though I had successfully completed authentication. The same behavior was observed in Firefox and Chrome, with and without using private/incognito modes, on both OS.
ETA: For the record, yes I also tried restarting the machine and making sure all add-ons were disabled to see if something else was hung-up.
