IOLS and position "Trained" questions

Hi,

Can someone please help me understand the training requirements for assistant scoutmaster? I am including a snip from our trained leader report for the assistant scoutmaster position.

I am the top person in the picture. I just completed IOLS (S11) last week at summer camp. It appears to be the only training I am missing. I have a certificate of completion from camp, how does that get into the training matrix? Does the camp send my completion to BSA or do I need to submit something to BSA?

Is the 2nd person not positioned trained because they have only completed 11/14 training modules?

Just so I have a clear understanding, to be position trained you need S11 (IOLS in person) and S24 (scoutmaster/assistant scoutmaster in person training) OR all 14 online training modules?

My understanding is IOLS + (Classroom training OR All online training courses) to be trained.

In-person training (ideally) is entered by the trainer (via the council staff) in your record. However, particularly for out-of-council training completions, this may not occur. One of your Unit Key 3 (SM/CC/COR) or a Key 3 Delegate can add the training to your account via the Training Manager in my.scouting based on your training card/cert from the trainer.

ETA: Note that, if the online training courses change before one completes the whole set, they “expire” as I understand it, and one must take the new set in its entirety. Similarly, as I understand it, if one changes position (e.g. ASM to MC then back to ASM), the prior Trained status may expire if the position-specific training courses have been revised since the original completion.

IOLS is on page 4 of the document that @Stephen_Hornak posted.

Another ASM and I completed IOLS in person at a Council Camp, but they put our training records in with the kids merit badges. I don’t think they intend to update the training records. I will forward the document to one of the key 3 and see if they can update it.

Thanks

The key 3 can update it. Whom ever conducted the IOLS must forward the roster to the district or council training chair/committee for it to be recorded.

In addition to completing S11 and either S24 or all modules, the module SCO_800 Hazardous Weather must be current. It expires every two years.
