Hi,
I recently noticed that I’m listed as untrained in my primary position as Scoutmaster. I completed all of the required online training modules in 2018. I also have IOLS, current Hazardous Weather Training, and current Safeguarding Youth training. I’ve been continuously registered as a Scoutmaster since 2019.
My District Training Chair says he can’t do anything about it because he doesn’t know which training modules were required in 2018. He suggests that I should just complete the rest of the currently required modules (I’ve done about half of them) to restore my trained status.
While I don’t have a problem with doing the rest of the currently required modules, it doesn’t seem right to me that I would be listed as untrained in the mean time.

@SonjaKueppers - this happens when training modules are updated. It should list what needs to be taken. There would also be modules if any changes are made in registered positions like an added position. Beyond that training taken almost a decade ago might not be current.
Where are you seeing that you are untrained? Sometimes my profile in my.scouting.org shows trained despite what the training reports shows. The former takes into account grandfathering based on having met the requirements at the time. However, any lapse or position change will reset that. For example, I was trained as a Cubmaster years ago. I’m now an Assistant Cubmaster and untrained.
And if you were SM 18 years ago and if the position ever ended, even for a month - all past training is null unless it is part of training when the SM position is reestablished.
I’m listed as untrained for this position both in my profile and in the training report.
I’ve been Scoutmaster of the same troop continuously, both before and after I started being listed as untrained.
My Hazardous Weather Training has lapsed once or twice during that period.

This might be the reason why.
@SonjaKueppers there is also a quirk that if you restart ANY of the training (except Hazardous weather and SYT), then you are considered untrained until you complete ALL of the new online curriculum.
