Issue with Scoutmaster Conference Requirement Ranks

Hello,

I’m going through the new Scoutbook Plus system to record rank achievements for my existing scouts. And by existing scouts, I’m referring to scouts that have previously earned a rank advancement and it was recorded in the old Scoutbook system. So, when I try to record, say the Scoutmaster Conference requirement for a scout who is earning 2nd Class in Scoutbook Plus (Tenderfoot earned / recorded in old Scoutbook), the system is giving me an error message that the requirement can’t be marked as earned because the previous SMC requirement (for Tenderfoot in this example) hasn’t been completed, even though Scoutbook Plus shows Tenderfoot being recorded / awarded.

The way around this is to record all dates for every other requirement, and then mark the entire rank as being “Marked as Approved / Recorded”. However, I feel that the issue will just occur for their next rank advancement as well. Any ideas?

We also have this issue with a Scout. Scout rank Scoutmaster Conference date either didn’t transfer or was marked approved by the scouts previous troop and we cannot input the Tenderfoot Scoutmaster Conference date with the same error. We mentioned it to our Council Customer Service person but this hasn’t been resolved yet. I’m waiting on the date of signature from the Scout, but if it’s been approved and awarded, we wouldn’t be able to change anything anyway.
