One of the leaders in our pack is having an issue logging into my.scouting.org account. The password reset is not working and they haven’t gotten any return call from the phone number or help from the chat. I’ve read that BSA Tech support may be able to help here. What are our next steps?
@JosephJones4 council can reset the password if needed - or the BOT at bottom right of my.scouting.org works great too - just type forgot password
Hi DonovanMcNeil - thanks for the suggestions but both have led to dead ends. No one has returned 2 calls from 3 weeks ago… . The chat asks if we remembered security questions, we say no, it asks for member id, we say don’t know it and it continues to ask for member id.
Any other suggestions? Is it true BSA tech support monitors these forums and helps?
@JosephJones4 - could you not provide the person with their member id number if they do not know it ? Secondly BSA IT is not on or monitoring these forums. Lastly, what number was called ? The BSA does not directly support users. Your first contact would be the local council to have them reset the password and most likely they will ask for the member id number.
This is the bsa member number that appears on the my.scouting.org roster and the Scoutbook Plus profile.
@JosephJones4 Ask one of the pack’s Key 3 (Cubmaster, Chartered Org. Rep., or Committee Chair) to log in at my.Scouting and get the user’s BSA member ID number. They should be able to get it on the pack Roster page.
