Leadership Can't email sppecific Scout

We have (at least) one scout in our roster that leadership cannot email. He shows up in our roster but not in the messages function. The scout # is 136418732.

He doesn’t have “no emails” flagged anywhere I can see.

In order for the scout to be on the Send Messages list, they must both:

  1. Have been invited by their parent to connect, and
  2. Have logged into Scoutbook at least once since being invited to connect to their account.

In addition, the scouters have to have at least some connection to the scout, even if it’s View Advancement/View Profile. That has to be set in Scoutbook, either directly in the Scout/Leader’s Connections or in the Connection Manager (which I find a lot more convenient for folks who aren’t already connected).

The SUAC folks can dig into the specifics with the BSA ID you provided, but I thought I’d mention this since it’s given me fits before for scouts in my unit.

That Scout has never logged in at scoutbook.scouting.org

Thank you. We meet tonight so I will talk to him and parent. He is special needs so he has probably never tried, I will walk him through it.
