We have a Lion den meeting event and when we try to add a second adult leader, like the Cubmaster to the event for 2 leaders, they cannot be added. In fact, a blank name plate shows up under the youth members for that event, but the adult does not show up under the adults for that event (this occurs for all adult leaders who are added to this den event, they show up as blanks in the youth member section and not as adults). However, the 2 parents and the Lion Guide show up in the adult section when invited. The event will not save because there are not 2 adult leaders invited to the event. Besides getting another adult leader added to the Lion den (which we are actively working on), any suggestions on how to fix this error so we can get the first den meeting onto the calendar? I have attached a screen shot showing what it is looking like.
Can you try changing the type to den meeting?
After some problem solving I figured out a solution. I added the Cubmaster to the den via the computer (mobile would not recognize an adult leaders) and that allowed the cubmaster to then be invited to the event and they showed up as an adult and not a blank youth participant in the event. So always add the leader to the den you want to add them to the event invite.
So you had a different experience on PC than mobile?
The event had the same problem before finding a solution on mobile and computer. Mobile was more limited and I couldnât add to the den, which is a known issue right now, and ended up having to do it on the computer to get it to work. After adding the second adult to the den I was able to add them to the event on the computer and on mobile.
It will now, from time to time (not regularly) show an error on mobile calendar event when trying to add an adult leader not listed on the den roster that I did not see last week. I didnât catch the number, just that invitee is not on the roster. They show up as invited on the event screen, but on computer and mobile they do not appear on the edit screen as invitees. They are checked under the invite individuals, but not listed separately in the edit screen. They can be added and removed from the drop down menu, but not from the event itself like the adults and youth who are officially added to the den through the roster function.
Similar issue here. Trying to add my lion den meetings. Any den that I have without a assistant den leader is graying out the âcreate eventâ button. I have added multiple adults to the event. It seems to be due to there not being an assigned den leader. I can create the event for any den with an assistant den leader.
Because BSA policy requires 2 registered leaders over the age of 21 be present at all events, even Lion and Tiger events where parents are also attending, you need to invite a 2nd registered leader. Try adding your Cubmaster to the invite list.
I have added 3 additional leaders. It will not allow me to save the event.
@LydiaReeve yeah I am testing this right now trying to figure it out - seems something changed
I think the immediate answer is to edit every den and add a second leader to all dens - THEN they show up on Calendar events
@LydiaReeve The work around I found was to add the Cubmaster or another adult to the den under the roster. It will then allow you to add that leader to the Lion den meeting so you can save it as an event. If they are not attached to the den roster then the event will not work because it will not recognize the adult leader and give you the 2 adult leader needed error.
Just want to confirm that yes, Iâm seeing the same behavior. And yes, just want to reiterate for those that have mentioned it, the issue is not the fact that it wonât let you save without 2 registered leaders; the issue is you should be able to add a registered leader who doesnât belong to the den to be your 2-deep, and right now that functionality is buggy - trying to add a leader not assigned to your den results in a blank entry being put under âyouthâ; the only workaround is to add someone to the den. (So, for example, youâd have to potentially add your cubmaster to every individual den if theyâre providing the two-deep)
The issue has been reported to the developers. We do not know when it will be fixed.
