Long Time Troop Admin cannot add Merit Badges from Summer Camp

Long time member of the troop, Asst Scoutmaster, and Troop Admin suddenly cannot edit about 2/3 of the scouts in the Troop - or add merit badges just earned at summer camp - despite having done this role for several years,

BSA ID is 125928892 - he is present on the roster in my.scouting.org

Any help is appreciated.

@JasonDouglas His account looks OK.

Try resetting his Troop Admin role:

  1. Have a Troop Admin go to the Troop Roster page in Scoutbook.
  2. Click on his name.
  3. Click on his Troop Admin role.
  4. Make sure the box is checked next to “position approved”.
  5. Click Update.

This should reset his connection to all Scouts in the troop.

This has been done multiple times over the last few days …

@JasonDouglas are a number recent crossovers? do they still have Pack memberships in SB by chance? if so end those

It’s a mix of scouts … some new … some 2nd and 3rd years … it’s odd really, can edit one brother but not the other … I’ll check the Cub Scout thing tho … thanks!

You did have 2 open Troop Admin positions. I closed one of them, but I don’t know if that will make a difference or not.

Are you having another Troop Admin try to reset your Admin role? Or are you trying to do it yourself?

I tried it myself but sent your suggestion to another Troop Admin to try … that 2nd open position was my Scoutmaster trying to reset the permissions … thanks again

Scoutbook errors out when trying to update on the Position Approved screen. This would be the update that resets the permissions on all the Scouts in the Troop and seems to be where this process is stuck. How can we fix? Thanks!
