"Mark as Approved/Recorded" checkbox disappears in a MB (ver:2016)

When signing off a completed Citizenship in the World merit badge for a scout, I noticed that the two checkboxes for “Mark as Approved/Recorded” and “Mark as awarded” disappeared. The version of the MB is 2016 rather than the current version 2022.

Merit Badges must be approved/awarded in Scoutbook Plus (https://advancements.scouting.org) not Legacy Scoutbook (https://scoutbook.scouting.org). Are you looking in the correct place?

Yes I tried to approve the MB at Scoutbook Plus. The scout is the only one who experiences the issue because he started the MB much earlier than other scouts and the version of the Citizenship of the World MB in his profile is 2016 (other scouts’ version is 2022). Is there a way to remove the MB and re-add it with the new version?

Try going to Roster → Advancements → To Approve to approve the MB.

The current version of Citizenship in the World is 2016. Where do you see 2022? Please provide a screenshot.

Hi, Stephen,
You are right - the 2016 version is the current one. The following is the MB in the scout’s Scoutbook Plus account. There’s no place for me to check the box for “Marked as completed” or “Marked as awarded”.Thank you!

@ShuZhang- i would try an incognito session and!or clearing cache.

@ShuZhang at the top right - I think you have parent selected in the drop down list - make sure Leader is selected

Switching from Parent to Leader makes the magic. I can approve the scout now. Thank you Donovan for pinpointing the issue and for your suggestion!
