@WilliamKett This user’s date of birth is slightly different between the two BSA member ID numbers. I would recommend having him log in at my.scouting and double-check his DOB. If it is wrong, your local council can correct it.
He also has 2 usernames at my.scouting.
One is a username that is a combination of his first initial last name plus some numbers.
The other has Google sign in turned on.
Which username does he want to keep?
Hello, I have three scoutbook names even though I am only showing as using BSA ID number 14226221. I am listed as a parent/guardian for both my kids however it is showing the three connections mentioned above. It is not letting me delete the two I am not using. I’m sure this has something to do with the fact that we came over from another council and from Pack to Troop but would love to get this taken care of. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.
@AnnMussio I have merged your Scoutbook accounts.
Please contact your local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up your children. In the “Relationships” section, they should ensure that you are listed as parent only under BSA 14226221. They should remove you if listed as parent under any other BSA member numbers. Otherwise, your BSA member numbers might get switched at Recharter, and this could result in creating another Scoutbook account.
Jennifer,
Thank you very much for taking care of this. Her and I have both been scratching our heads for a while trying to get this done. May I ask how you were able to do it? or is it just a specific type of access? I ask because I have others in our Troop that also have multiple accounts due to coming from other councils. I even have two scouts that have two BSA ID numbers, but both have tons of information in their accounts. I don’t want to delete either of their accounts but would need to either transcribe everything to one or merge the two if that is a possibility. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
R,
David Mussio
We have access to a tool that allows us to merge scoutbook accounts. Your council has access to a similar tool, but they sometimes don’t have access to the accounts from another council. If you post the member numbers (no names), we can look into it. Note that our merge tools do not merge individual requirements, only completed awards, advancement, etc… so, if they have significant partial work that you don’t want to be lost, please specify which one has that for the scouts.
Jacob,
Thank you for the assistance. Below are the BSA ID numbers and which ones need to be merged if possible.
ID 136877376 & 140549786 are the same scout. We are hoping 376 can be merged into 786 as that is his current council/troop.
ID 136573920 & 140547037 same issue. We would like 920 merged into 037 is his current council/troop.
Should you have any questions please let me know. Again, thank you for the help, I really appreciate it.
I found 4 different Scoutbook userIDs for this Scout. When we merge Scoutbook userIDs, overall completions that are approved will merge. However, individual requirements will not merge. We can put the correct BSA member ID number onto whichever Scoutbook userID remains.
It looks like Scoutbook userID 11810557 probably has the most info. Is that the Scoutbook userID you want to keep as the survivor? We can merge the other ones into it.
The only reason I mentioned the 786 number and keeping that one is because our council said that we needed to maintain that number as that is what he is registered with in our council. I’m not even able to see the other numbers you mentioned so I can’t take screen shots to transcribe but I can pull from his actual book if needed.
Looking more closely, I think that Scoutbook userID 394395 has more data.
Instead of screenshots, you can download the Individual Advancement Record report and the Scouts BSA History Report.
I would love to do that however, I don’t have access to that number. I am only able to see the two numbers I sent for that specific scout.
@DavidMussio I sent you a private message.
