Merge Duplicate User

Is there any way to merge? I don’t think she wants the other one retired. She wants to keep the one that has the login with username and password. Thank you

@StevenWalker3 We can merge the usernames (logins). The effect would be that should would no longer use the one with Google sign in, because it would be retired.

@DonovanMcNeil/@JenniferOlinger - I went to my.Scouting.org to create an account so I can access Scoutbook. When I put in my information, it pulls up my BSA Member ID from when I was in Cub Scouts in another state. I cannot create my account with my current BSA Member ID where I can see all of my scouting activity (ranks, merit badges, etc.) in Scoutbook.

The BSA Member ID that pulled up when I created my myScouting.org account was (removed by Moderator). I need my BSA Member ID (removed by Moderator) (SB User ID (removed by Moderator)) to be associated with myScouting.org/Scoutbook account. How can I make this happen?

@ConnorAbrecht You appear to have 3 usernames (logins) at my.Scouting.

Do you want to keep the one that you created today? We can retire the other two.

Yes, please keep the one I created today.

@ConnorAbrecht I have merged your Scoutbook accounts.

Please log all the way out, then log back in again.

Your date of birth is different by one day between your current BSA member ID number and the one that belongs to your former council. If your date of birth needs to be corrected, your local council can do it with their Registrar Tools. They can also add your middle name, if you would like.

Thank you for your help!

For 14916613, he said the one with the gmail is the one to keep.

For 14669760 she said the user name to keep is her email.

For 14619931 she also said the user name to keep is her email.

@MelissaCrouthamel These have been completed.

My account 12930141 has my training and everything. 135774606 is the one with the parent connection to both my children. Can they be merged?

@DanielDi_Cristo you can achieve part of this yourself - log into my.scouting.org > Click Manage Member ID > one of the BSA # will be there marked PRIMARY > then add the other MID (BSA #) - you want to make the one that is your unit registration PRIMARY > All Training will merge to one marked Primary.

The Kid Connections will not merge - I recommend that you contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up your children. When they look up your children, they want to check your children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that your children are connected to you as parent with Only your correct BSA member ID number

Donovan, you are the best!

Thanks, Jennifer. I’ll pass this along to the parents and will contact NFC for assistance to correct DOB.

Hi! Need help merging two Member Id’s for same person:
137127758 - correct council information
13756506 - incorrect council information

Need to either merge or delete the one with the wrong council. Thanks.

@JohnWentzel what user name do you want to keep - the email? or the username?

@DonovanMcNeil The email address but it doesn’t really matter if one way is easier than the other. Just looking to get cleaned up. Thanks!

@JohnWentzel You should be all fixed now. Please log all the way out, then log back in again to see the changed.

From now on, please log in with your my.Scouting username and password, not your e-mail address.

We have a new cubmaster this year. He was previously a den leader. Since he was assigned Cubmaster, he has not been able to get into Scoutbook. We think it has to do with as a den leader he used a shorter version of his name. When he was assigned Cubmaster, he used the longer version. Let me know what information is needed to be able to have him gain access to Scoutbook. THNX!!

@HeatherCarlson Please post the BSA member ID number, and we can take a look.

(No names, please)

BSA # 130753447
I hope this helps

@HeatherCarlson OK, I’ve fixed what I can.

Please ask him to contact the local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up his child (or children). In the “Relationships” tab / section, they should remove him as parent under his secondary BSA member ID number. He should be listed as parent only under his primary BSA member ID number: 130753447. This will help to prevent future issues.
