*Hello,
I am having a issue with my MIDs and registration transfer and seeing/linking to my kids’ scouts accounts.
I have about 8 MID through 4 different councils. Most recently I was in Far East and have now moved to North Florida and am registering my kids in units in Florida. Lately I was able to see all of my IDs on my.scouting but wanted to research merging the accounts before clicking the button. This week I can no longer see more that 2 of my MID and when I try to log into SB+ it says I do not have the user rights to be able to view anything
Using Mozilla on a laptop
Microsoft 10*
Far East Council 141555799
Last MID but did not include my mbc info from Aloha*
North Florida Council* 142739055
-Newly created with latest move when my cub scout was transferred
Can anyone help to streamline things and help me access SB+ again?
@ChristineCies it looks like you did merge the old Member IDs. One of the merged one was suspended so all the registrations under the 799 one are now suspended, so a registrar would need to clear that. The 9055 on is separate, but you did not have it under Manage MID, so you have no way to log into that account. You would need to add that one to Manage MEmber ID or merge that one into your other surviving Member ID..
I did not do the merging but it is good to hear they did not disappear. So I can safely merge these last two IDs?
What would cause a suspended MID?
It is possible to is all I would say.
So I merged them but now the Far East MID is the primary. Can the Latest North Florida ID be made into my primary?
Suspension is usually a physical action to a MID ( a registrar suspended it - sometimes youth protection out of date)- so if you merge 8 - if even one was suspend it applies to all the registrations left on the surviving MID
The MID that survives is the one with the last registration - any council that has a registration attached to the MID can do what they need.
I mean, an old YPT would be out of date as I moved to a new MID so that one elapsed as I trained in my new council and am current in Far East until spring. How do I have that fixed?
The fun thing is that that is not the latest registration. A new number was just created with our most recent move to Florida. Do I contact Far East of North Florida to have the changeover completed?
5799 only has FEC registrations on it that are active. You have no registered position that I see in Florida. 9055 is just a parent Member #.
Okay,
That’s good to know about the parent number and explains it.
so BIG picture - yes one council “Owns” the Member #. Any council who has the MID registered, or the MID is in Relationship with a a MID in that council can do work with that MID as needed.
So you can add the Florida MID to management and you can play the switch game as needed to log in correctly. Or you can again merge the MIDs again - and who knows what MID will survive (???) - but all the registrations and relationships should be on that surviving MID so you can achieve what you want to achieve.
Thank you,
I merged all the accounts under the current parent ID and then added NFC /m/MID and made NFC the primary. hopefully in 24hrs scoutbook will find me again.
Thank you for your help!
