Missing advancement data + duplicate parent listings on my Scout’s profile

My son’s profile in Scoutbook is missing multiple items (including advancement/records that should already be there), and I’m also listed three times as his parent/guardian.

Could someone please advise on:

  1. How to restore or locate the missing information on his profile

  2. How to remove the duplicate parent entries so I appear only once

I’m happy to provide his BSA ID or any other details privately if needed.

Thank you in advance for your help — I appreciate it.

First, you logged in to the forums with your son’s account, not your account. You need to create your own my.scouting.or ID. After you enter your first and last name the system should find your Member ID and create an account for you. If it does not, come back to the forums on this account and we can try to help further. Note you have two Scouting America Member IDs, one in Patriots Path Council with a first name starting with A and one in Northern NJ Council with a first name starting with L. It is the NNJ Council that has the connection issues.

You need to contact your NNJ Council registrar because you are listed as both Mother of and Son of your son. They need to remove the Son of connection for you. If they do not know how to do this they will need to reach out to their contacts at National or open a Member Care ticket.

Your son L is registered in both Patriots Path and Northern NJ Councils. He will have 2 Scouting America Member IDs (MID) because of this. Since Scoutbook only supports one MID he will need 2 Scoutbook accounts, one for his Troop and one for the Ship and Crew.
