Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
The Scouts are not currently registered. We can help with Scoutbook issues, but registration issues have to be worked through your local council.
This user is registered as an MBC, but not as an adult leader in a unit. Please work with your local council in order to get her registered with the troop.
Ugh. Thank you! I reached out to a few of the parents, and they all assured me that they believed they had registered. I think they’re confused by the new registration system. Is there a way to self service this and avoid bothering Council? Can I have them just register through our sign up link, or will that wipe their records?
@JamesBishop1 You could try checking your Roster at my.Scouting and see if you see anything in the “Membership Renewal Orders” section. If you find them there, look in the “Paid” column.
You might also want to ask your local council to check before asking parents to pay (potentially a second time).
But if they didn’t actually pay, they should be able to use the online application link, which you can get from the Invitation Manager (at my.Scouting). They should log in to my.Scouting first, then click the link. They will also want to use the same member ID number for their Scouts, instead of creating a new one.
