Multiple accounts without knowing it?

I logged into Scoutbook and under “My Account” it says another user is using my email address. The account I used to login under is the one I’ve been using since I signed up as a scouter 5 years ago.

@SeanHanson

I’ll look into this for you

2 problems.

  1. You had an old, unused Scoutbook account which I have merged into your primary account.
  2. Your children have your e-mail address on their Scoutbook accounts which I have removed.

Hi, My daughter evidently created another scoutbook account because when I try to invite her to connect it gives me the following error. Unfortunately we can’t figure out how to delete the other account. Please let me know how to best accomplish this. Thanks.

@CraigVermillion

Your daughter with first initial M has a my.scouting.org ID that is the first 3 characters of her first name, last initial and 2 digit year of birth.

Your daughter with first initial S has her e-mail address on her Scoutbook account which is why you can’t invite her. She can try resetting the password using her e-mail address as the ID. If that does not work, she can create a my.scouting.org ID which should find her existing BSA Member ID then log in to Scoutbook with that ID.

Need to merge the following accounts: Member ID 13104029 and Member ID 12597690

@MelisaLeblanc I am looking in to this for you.

@MelisaLeblanc This should be fixed.

The BSA member number he should be using is: 12597690

I want to let you know how thankful I am for this for this forum! I just discovered it a couple weeks ago and I’ve had scout problems fixed that I have been pursuing for the whole scout year. Thank you thank you thank you!

I have an adult member in our Troop, member id: 13625589, his son: 134951936. I think he has 2 accounts since re-applying for adult member in December and completely YPT He still only sees the pack when he logs into Scoutbook and not the troop. He is also not showing in the troop roster. Maybe he has 2 accounts and you can merge them?

@JasonHowerton This adult is not currently registered as an adult leader, but BSA member ID number 13625435 is the one with his registration history.

I have merged his Scoutbook accounts. I have also put his multiple BSA member numbers under management (manage member ID) at my.scouting.

I would recommend that he contact your local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up his Scout. In the “Relationships” section, they will want to make sure that the parent is listed there under the correct BSA member number 13625435.

I’m having the same issue. I checked to see if my children have a Scoutbook account with my email address but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Sorry this was a reply to the post by Sean Hanson about another user using their email address.

@AlisonBarker it was on your scouts account - I cleared it off

Thank you so much for your help!

Recently transferred to a new troop and now both of my scouts have 2 BSA numbers and their MB, awards and rank % do not match. How do I merge them? A M Carroll has BSA # 140175851 and 14157742 A J Carroll has BSA # 14157754 and 140175843. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
