Hello I have a spl that cannot access his scout book. He says it says that it cannot access the account. Any help is appreciated so he can send out troop emails!

Has the Scout and Parents set up a log in for the Scout? If so, what is the scouts Member # (no names)
Yes he has had one for years. His SB# is

@HeatherGiangregorio- his Scouting America membership ID number is what was being asked for
@HeatherGiangregorio that scout does have a login but has never once logged into any Scoutbook platform. I would suggest they first log into my.scouting.org with the username and password - then scoutbook+
Yikes ok he made it sound like he has in the past but not to send emails. I will have him try that. Thank you for your help!
@HeatherGiangregorio wait - he logged into Legacy 12/16/25 - just not SB+ - Legacy is gonna do the Scout no good really
Yes we have a bunch of people that are mixed up between the two. I have emailed him with the information you provided, I told him to let me know if it does not work. He is currently in school so I am assuming he will try after.
@HeatherGiangregorio that youth has no permissions in SB+ - so if you wanted them to Message, do Calendar, or Advancement - Key3 would need to give them Permissions to do that
He just needs to do messages, I will let our Key 3 know. thank you again!

These are all new settings – never seen them before.
Here’s the error message I get when adding Sebastian to Calendar (Permissions Assignable to Youth), Messaging (Permissions Assignable to Youth).
Permissions have been out since November - I suggest Key 3 review - updated Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video

@HeatherGiangregorio- if the CC is also the parent of a scout they need to make sure they are selected for the CC role in the upper right.
