Youth unable to Send Message

Hello,

We have a youth in our unit who just retrieved his login information for Scoutbook using the email address we have on file, name, member ID number and DoB. He logged in and cannot see the Send Message feature. He shows up on our roster but we cannot send messages to him either.

Scouting America ID # 136731653

Thank you!

@4Scouts- has he logged into scoutbook.scouting.org ? I would suggest watching to see what he is logging into. I suspect it may be the red scouting app.

He is not able to log into scoutbook.scouting.org.
When he tries to log into it using the user and email that work for his my.scouting.org account, he gets the following message: We are not able to find a Scoutbook profile linked to this gmail account

He is able to log into my.scouting

@4Scouts I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)

The scout and I sat down together, accessed scoutbook.scouting.org. He then used his username and password to login. It worked. The login triggered an email to his mom stating that she now connected with him. He is now listed on the roster under Send Message and has just successfully sent his own message to his patrol. I am not sure what he did before but sitting down with him and making sure he is at Scoutbook and is using the right credentials was the way to go. Thank you, Donovan, for your help.
