New scout Error

I have a new scout that joined my pack and I get an error message when I try to go into his profile. It says I don’t have permissions to access this scout. I can access all the other scouts in Our pack but not this profile.

What is the Scout’s Scouting America Member ID (no names)? What is the exact error message?

Member ID is 141729154 and my Error is “Your Position(s) and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action”. But I don’t get this error when I go into any other scouts profile. I was able to add him to a den from the main roster page but I click into his profile to get his parent contact information to send some new parent information and I get blocked

Understood. There is an issue with new Scouts that we are trying to collect enough information on for the developers to find the root cause. This will help.

What Den level did you put the Scout in?

happy to help break the system :slight_smile: Ok I will stay posted, Oddly we had 2 other scouts join this month and neither of their profiles had issues. Their Member IDs are 141666156 and 141666141 if this helps try to find the root cause as well.

Scout is a new Wolf so I add him to the existing wolf den. The other 2 that didn’t have the error were both added to the lion cub den.

so did the scout just show up Yesterday in SB+?

Please try an incognito window and let us know if you can access the Scout. That will help us know if this is a cache issue or not.

If you click Edit Den of another Den, you do see the Scouts name?

Did not correct the issue

Yes yesterday morning about 24 hours ago the scout showed up in scoutbook.

Yes I can add him to multiple Dens if I wanted to but so do all my other scouts so I don’t see anything different with the one with an error.

What happens if you add to Bear - does that allow you to view profile? Could be good info

Tried moving the Dens and even unassigning the Den and leaving no Den. Still shows the same issue

Thanks for being helpful and reporting. While going back and for giving information seems like a pain, it is key in getting some of these elusive bugs fully identified and then fixed!
