New Scout Parent with Multiple Accounts

In my latest group of crossovers, I’ve ran into the problem of multiple accounts again with one of the parents. It looks like they had never set up SSO and instead had a separate account registered or added to Scoutbook by their Cubmaster. I’ve verified connection to their scout but they are unable to login and getting an error code 0. The message says that scouting.org is experiencing an issue on their end.

Any ideas on how to fix?

@GrantMullins Please post the Scout’s BSA member ID number, and we can take a look.

You’ll see two parent connections and both of those are his Dad.

@GrantMullins I have merged this user’s Scoutbook accounts.

He also has 2 usernames (logins), and they are both e-mail addresses. Does he want to keep the gmail one?

He says he wants the chonex.ag one. Thanks for your help.

@GrantMullins He should be all fixed now.

If he needs to reset his password, then he should go to my.Scouting and use the chatbot (“Betty”). When it asks if he remembers his security questions, he can say “No” to bypass.

The user’s primary BSA member ID number is:

135432962

If needed, the local council can do a direct password reset.

He is getting this error when attempting to login. Even though he’s using his Chonex.ag email, it’s warning about Gmail.

He’s at the wrong website. He needs to be using scoutbook.scouting.org
