New scout registration error message

I am trying to register my daughter back into Cub Scouts after a 2 year hiatus. She completed Lion - Wolf while we were living in Florida, we are now living in NC. She just turned 10yo but is finishing the 5th grade as she skipped a grade in elementary school and is wanting to get into Scouts BSA but the system will not allow it since she is not AOL rank and 10.5yo. We tried getting her registered for Cub Scouts and we are able to get her ID to pull her information from FL and updated the address but when we get to the parent signature page and I log in (I am a leader) but keep getting this error after signing the parent agreement:

Something went wrong

Error Code: Logged-in user does not have access to this API, Message: Forbidden

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

1) Hardware: Desktop (Mac mini)
2) Operating system: Sequoia 15.6.1
3) Browser: Google Chrome
4) Browser cache has been cleared or you are using a private browsing mode (aka Incognito Window in Chrome): yes…repeatedly after each attempt
5) Member ID & Council of person affected: 137224478 originally Central FL Council, we now live in Daniel Boone Council

@CrystalScott1- i suggest reaching out to your local council

Any update on how this situation was resolved? I have two scouts receiving the same error message this week so we are trying to troubleshoot.

@SusanDuenas- talk to your local council

If it says “Error Code: Logged-in user does not have access to this API, Message: Forbidden”
I would expect that the logged in user was not the parent in the database for a past scout (with the hiatus above.). But yes talk to council

So this was actually for my daughter and the only thing I can figure is either since she was not registered for 2 years or since we have moved to a new council the system would not recognize her scouting ID. I ended up entering her as a new scout so we could get her registered and then a wonderful admin here in the forum was able to merge her two accounts recovering all of her previous achievements and history.

Yep that kind of adds up - did you make a new my.scouting.org account to make the new registration @CrystalScott1 ? If so that means a new Member ID in the new Council - so that Member ID was not attached to you scouts Old Member ID.

As a parent/leader I did not create a new account but I did make a new account for her since it was not working using her original member ID in the first steps of the registration process.
