We have a parent whose son is AOL cub scout trying to register him in to our troop (it is our first time using the online registration) and getting an Error message "You are not authorized to access this API."
They are able to find him using his scout ID number and fill out the registration form on the screen.
The error appears when they hit the “Submit Transfer” button
likely not the parent in that system > they can click Menu top Left > then My Applications > do they see their scout listed their?
Thank you, it seems to be actually the case!
In that case, ask your council registrar to add the parent relationship to the scout. It helps if you provide bsa member numbers of both the scout and parent.
Thank you, in this case we were able to solve the problem by having the other parent complete the application.
