New scouts not getting connections when added to existing den

Same issue as this post: New Cub Missing Den Leader Connections

We have new scouts and when I add them to a den they are not getting connected to the den leader who is set up as both a leader and den admin. I have to manually connect them to the den leaders / admins. I know there is a work around to reassign the leader / admin position but to have to do that every time there is a change is not a good solution.

I have the same problem and it won’t let me connect them manually.
