I’ve helped several members renew membership in our Troop, finally getting around to mine.
I’m the committee chair for both a pack and a troop. Others in the Troop have successfully completed renewal including my wife and child, does not seem to be a recharter issue. I can’t click on anything except to toggle the switch for multiples at the top, can’t go to payment. No recent position changes since the last renewal/recharter.
Committee chair positions not listed, only merit badge and Nova.
BSA ID 128948853
Getting this message after my secondary positions are listed.
“No organizations for renewal are active.” (Bottom of image below)
When I click on “Click to print for manual pay” I get a small error box that pops open then closes immediately and a small error message at the top (see image top)
“Error generating paperwork please try again”
Clicking on Go back to my renewals gives me this page (and it loops back and forth). Has two entries for my primary. (I’ve not completed renewal so not sure what the completed signifies.
Thanks very much

@ThomasSmith20- did the unit do it’s renewal?
As far as I know everything went well with recharter. Plus my wife, daughter and a few scouts have completed the process, and they are all primary registered with the same troop.
Also tried a different browser, got the same error clicking on print to pay, and the message at the bottom.
Here are the current and future charter status.

@ThomasSmith20- this seems like a talk to council issue. Nobody on the forums that supports my.scouting.org
This exact same problem is happening to me. I put in a request with the council to look into it but it appears to be an issue with myscouting.com. I’ve spent about an hour messing around with this - on my phone, computer, different browsers, etc. Very frustrating.

I have a scout or two experiencing the same issue. I would love to hear how this was resolved.

I think these are talk to council to turn in a National Membercare ticket

Having the same issue. I’m doubtful this would be resolved in the days during the holidayt. If not resolved, what does this mean for our membership? Will it just be stayed?

“National Membercare” ticket? I have to admit that this is something I haven’t heard about before.
@AustinSchneider1 if registration ends 12/31 - it would go into a 60 day grace period for renewal. I would talk to council for them to send in a Membercare ticket - or perhaps they have seen something in their registrar forums
Thanks. The 60 day grace period takes some of the stress out of the issue. Will reach out to council (somehow). Seems like this is an issue across multiple councils, meaning an issue with the scouting.org registration platform.

I’ve emailed our council Registrar (Margarita Bernal, Sam Houston Area Council) and sent her a link to this forum. I’d suggest other leaders do the same on here.
@AustinSchneider1 I would email back and say forum suggested they submit a Membercare Ticket
Just for logging, I’ve attached two screenshots of the issue I am seeing. Council already responded saying they “reset the profile” on their end. Nothing has changed.
@DonovanMcNeil I will ask them to submit a Membercare Ticket.

Just an update for me for this with the same problem, my “MID” is not in there database. My council registrar has submitted a ticket to National to track down my MID. I don’t know what that is, but she has taken some action. Due to holidays and people not necessarily in the office, I don’t expect a response immediately.
@AustinSchneider1 MID means member ID number.
I am having the same issue no organizations found for me or my son. And I am getting repeated emails that my membership is soon expiring.

@JosephDoyle2- talk to your local council
Are we sure this isn’t a bug? We have an adult leader getting the same error. Seems there’s a flurry of problems today.
I (CC) submitted our unit renewal this morning, and it’s listed “awaiting approval”. The unit doesn’t expire until 12/31.
It may or may not be a bug (although it sure doesn’t sound like it’s working as intended). However, the developer group that supports my.scouting only takes MemberCare tickets/bug reports from council professional staff. Thus all of the recommendations to contact the council for resolution.
The SUAC volunteers here don’t have the ability to submit bug reports for anything other than the classic Scoutbook, Scoutbook+ and Scouting app platforms (and I’m not even 100% certain about the last one).
