I’m trying to access historic camping/hiking/service data for a Scout, who earned the rank of Eagle and “aged out” a few years ago, in preparation for his upcoming Eagle ceremony. (I’m the Advancement Coordinator, so the family is looking to me to help dig up this information.) Though I can no longer access his Scoutbook records through my login, he SHOULD be able to access this directly through his own personal login (which he’s given me access to). However, when I log in as him, and go to advancements.scouting.org, I get the following message:
“NO SCOUTBOOK PLUS ACCESS
It looks like you don’t have the right Scouting role to access Scoutbook Plus.
Only Youth, Parents, Key 3, Key 3 delegate & Unit Advancement Chair roles have access to Scoutbook Plus”
I know it SHOULD be possible to access this screen, because I’m able to log in as my own 20-something Eagle scout and access all of his info in the advancements.scouting.org menu. I’m not sure why it would be any different with this other scout. Is there a permission setting that needs to get updated for his account so that he can access his information here?
Name: (removed by Moderator) BSA ID:121450036 Scoutbook ID: 2290181
if you are SB admin - go to SB > My Dashboard > Reports > you can pull history report from there
He hasn’t been actually enrolled in the Troop for several years. He’s 20-something and has been off at college. So I believe the only way to access his records is through his own login.
why not try my suggestion
Click Reports Here - then Scouts BSA History - enter the data and done
@GwendyDarling His account was set to youth. I have set it to adult.
Please try Donovan’s suggestion.
Oh, wow, I didn’t realize I had access to those records for Scouts who are no longer registered! That’s so good to know! Thank you.
It is awesome, as time goes on, older and older people who were scouts as a youth will have reports available. Those of us from 35 years ago… they do have my eagle recorded!
if you are under the same BSA # that is
That’s amazing! GTK!
