When I try to enter the 6th eagle palm it comes up with an error below. The scout has the required merit badges, but it won’t let me add it. I did try to hard refresh the page and cleared caches.
@DanielleDeCario are you sure you were under Leader Profile and Not parent Profile?
Yes. I made sure of that as well.
OK it is turned into developers - watch the change logs for updates
@DanielleDeCario what date where you trying to use?
I see in the updates that it says it is fixed. I am still getting this error. I have cleared cache and hard refresh again.
I’m having the exact same issue with a 12th palm! Identical error message except it’s awardID 129.
Turns out I was able to add a 13th and 14th successfully, but the 12th is still being problematic.
Thank you. I updated the ticket with the additional failing palm.
I’m having the same issue with one of my scouts. Two of his eagle palms will not allow reqs 1 & 2 to be marked compled. Req 3 is marked completed. Is this a bug across the system?
Has the Scout previously earned Eagle or is this a palm that was earned with Eagle? If it was earned with Eagle, just enter the Eagle board of review date as the final completion date. Don’t bother filling in the requirements.
If this palm was not earned with Eagle are you getting the same error as in the screen shot above?
These palms were not earned with Eagle. He eagled last year and earned them this year.
There is a know issue with palms.

I am also getting this error message for two different scouts. It won’t allow me to enter their next completed palm and says “user award cannot be created because useraward already exists for the given userid.” One is for userid 1664904, award id 131. It is his 14th eagle palm. The other is for userid 1664918, awardid are 127 and 128. It is his 10th and 11th eagle palms. Our advancement chair simply went and purchased the palms from our scout shop to award to them at our upcoming Court of Honor in order to avoid not recognizing them for completing 91 and 76 merit badges, respectively, because of glitches in Scoutbook Plus. When can we expect a fix for this issue, so we can properly record these on the advancement report?
This is a known issue with some palms. Scouting America IT does not release schedule information.

For the Scout that has completed 91 Merit Badges, he should already own all of the palms required to wear on his uniform. This would be 4 silver (3x15 MBs beyond Eagle) and 1 gold palm (10 MBs beyond Eagle).
The Scout with 76 MBs should also have all the palms required 3 silver (3x15 MBs beyond Eagle, and 1 gold (10 MBs beyond Eagle).
You should be able to recognize these Scouts without purchasing additional pins. Scouts do not wear every pin but only wear the combiation required to indicate the number of MBs earned.
Thank you for the quick response.
Thank you for your response, but I am not following your math. You mention 3 silver being 3X20, but each silver represents 15, not 20 (bronze is 5, gold is 10, and silver is 15). Since 91 merit badges are 70 more than the 21 required for Eagle, this would mean he wears 4 silver (4X15=60) and 1 gold (1X10=10). Same for the scout with 76 merit badges. This is 55 more than the 21 required for Eagle, which means he would wear 3 silver (3X15=45) and 1 gold (1X10=10). Unless there was a change I was not aware of and silver now represents 20 and not 15…
Having served as a Scoutmaster for 5 years and currently serving as a District Commissioner, I am aware of the eagle palm combinations that scouts are permitted to wear, but thank you for the guidance.
You are correct, a silver is 15, not 20. I corrected my original response.
A Scout with 70 more needs 4 silver plus a one gold. At 60 he should have 4 silver so for 70 he should have the bronze from the first 5 and gold from first 10 so he still should have all the pins he needs.
The Scout with 55 needs 3 silver (45) plus 1 gold 10. Again, if you you bought the 3rd silver for 45 he should have all he needs.
While they may already have these pins, and only wear the correct combinations, we still purchase the new ones for them. Probably not necessary, but we do it anyway as they both keep award binders and scrapbooks with all of their cards, pins, patches, etc, that they have earned. While we don’t need to purchase them, it still doesn’t change the fact that we can’t enter these in Scoutbook Plus, so they are not being reflected on the advancement report that we submit to our Council and they are not being reflected in Scoutbook as completed, earned, and awarded.
Thank you for the discussion, but at this point I will wait to see if a fix is ever developed in the Change Log. If not, we will continue to enter the merit badges they earn but will have to accept the fact that the palms they complete will not be properly reflected in Scoutbook or their advancement records.
Thank you.
This issue will be fixed so you will be able to update the records so they are accurate and purchase the additional pins, I just can’t give you a timeframe.
