Not able to record Scouts BSA Advancement for a Sea Scout

I am trying to record Merit Badges for one of my Sea Scouts.
Some of them I can access their Scouts BSA Advancement, and others it doesn’t appear.

How do I do that in Scoutbook Plus?

You can’t edit MB as an MBC in SB+ (yet). We still have to connect to and update MB status in classic Scoutbook. I didn’t even know the crews and ships were supported in SB+ (yet).

If you’re connected to them as an MBC, they should show up when you select “Edit Merit Badges for Merit Badge Counselors” on the MB Counselor tools portion on the My Dashboard in classic SB.

ETA: If you post the non-functional Scouting America Member IDs (no names please!), the SUAC folks might be able to investigate further.

I am their Skipper and trying to “Start the Merit Badge”.

Some of my Scouts I can access their Scouts BSA Advancement and others it doesn’t show up.

I used to be able to toggle their Scouts BSA Advancement under “Extended Profile” in Legacy Scoutbook, but can’t figure out how to do that in Scoutbook Plus.

Hrm… unfortunately I don’t have a scout in a ship or crew I can play with. I wonder if @DonovanMcNeil is still on. I think he’s affiliated with a crew (or Mayia ship?).

@mitchelr My understanding is that it is supposed to be automatic in Scoutbook Plus, as long as the Scout earned First Class rank or higher in a troop.

Here are the ones I can’t see their Scouts BSA Advancement:

  • 129126825
  • 137460558
  • 127615128

133624052 - is not first class - so cannot do Scout BSA advancement in a ship
137460558 - Same

127615128 - what are you trying to enter here? MBs?

MIDs 129126825 and 127615128 are both 19 years of age and ineligible to earn Scouts BSA advancement. This is why Scoutbook Plus is not showing the advancement to you. If you are trying to update Scouts BSA advancement earned prior to their 18th birthdays, please contact your Council.
