Pack Admin and Den Leader permissions

How do I add a Pack Admin in Scoutbook Plus or Legacy Scoutbook?

I have a Den Leader who cannot approve requirements too.

@DavidGrotenberg what is the Den Leaders Member # (no names)?

Only place I can see to update now is Legacy “Connections Manager”?

@DavidGrotenberg- you should not be using legacy scoutbook for this. You need to work with permission manager in scoutbook plus. As far as seeing adults in the roster you need to check the adult box in the roster filter.

Check Filters on Roster to see Adults. You really should not be touching Legacy for anything at this point other than Payment Logs and sending messages to a very large group

I imagine the person is not registered as a Den Leader - they is why the member # can give us alot of info to help you

I added him to have full control under “Connections Manager”
Is there a way to do this in Scoutbook Plus?

I don’t see any adults in the Roster in Scoutbook Plus:

@DavidGrotenberg- did you check the filter in the gray header above the roster. Do not use the legacy scoutbook for this

A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See the updated Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.

@DavidGrotenberg that person is a Committee Member - not a Den Leader. Committee Members receive no default permissions.

A Key 3 in SB+ can either change their position to Den Leader at Permission Manager > Positions - or they can do the same in my.scouting.org > Unit > Manager

Or you can give the user the permissions you need them to have manually.

He says its still grayed out.

@DavidGrotenberg- what is grayed out.. and it would be best if that leader joined this thread… third party/person support is not productive

Update: Cubmaster fixed the main Roster on my.scouting.org and added this leader as a Den Leader. We will let you know if that works.

The Leaders also needs to be a member of the Den (roster in SB+) for the permissions to work.
