Permissions not applying to Scoutbook Plus

In legacy scoutbook, I am assigned Pack Admin, but I don’t have any permissions in Scoutbook Plus or for things like organization manager in my.scouting. My position is committee chair. Do I need something additional? Is that limited to the key 3 positions?

I did click “update” without any changes on my Pack Admin position, so I can wait a day and see if that makes a difference.

@AndyWitzke you are not Chair - you are a Cubmaster, ASM and Committee Member in 3 different units. Your real positions are at my.scouting.org

Correct - I mistyped that and should have stated committee member.

Do I need to be either CM, CC, COR to have permissions for things like editing dens and reassigning leaders in position manager (i.e., Pack Admin does not grant access to these)?

That is a known issue (with some positions + Admin) right now - DEVs are working on a resolution - watch the change log

Hi Donovan - what would the workaround be in the meantime? Would I need a key 3 role to have the permissions in scoutbook plus?

@AndyWitzke- you have stated that you want position manager access in my.scouting.org which is not related to any scoutbook rights. Position manager access is limited to the COR or delegate to COR to move registered positions.

Got it. That makes sense for position manager. What about being able to advance dens and assign new scouts to dens. That moved to Scoutbook Plus, so I’m not able to manage that currently. I can just work with the COR if needed, but thinking maybe a key 3 delegate functional role would work for that?

@AndyWitzke- are the Cubmaster and committee chair not involved in the scoutbook plus operations ? I would think a k3 delegate may help but that is limited to 3 persons being placed in delegate roles.

Ok, maybe we’ll give that a try. Eventually, yes, we hope to have a Cubmaster and Committee chair handling this, but we are going through a transition in leaders. We have two packs working as one this year to keep the smaller pack alive, so it’s kind of messy with co-registrations like me to help them out until they get up and running again (or maybe fold and combine into a single pack).
