Parent cannot RSVP in Scoutbook Plus on behalf of their Scout

We have a parent who cannot RSVP on behalf of their Scout for events.

  • Both the parent and Scout are invited to the events.
  • RSVPs are turned on for the events.
  • The parent can log into Scoutbook.
  • The parent is connected to the Scout as Parent/Guardian in Scoutbook.
  • The parent sees the Scout when they log into Scoutbook.

Does their connection need to be reset to the Scout?

@WandaSpinner - the rsvp is in advancements.scouting.org and it would be easier if they posted here.

@WandaSpinner well the Scout had 2 users - so the parent might have been under the wrong one - what we would really need is a screenshot of what they see or a unit leader to watch them to point to where they can

@WandaSpinner It looks like this user’s relationships (in my.Scouting) are messed up. This parent is both “Mother of” and “Son of” her Scout with first initial “J.”.

I would recommend asking the local council to use their Regsitrar Tools to look up J. In the “Relationships” tab / section, remove her completely, and then add her back in again as parent.
