We’re trying to troubleshoot a parent’s ability to renew one of his two kids. His ID is 137482859 and is part of Chief Seattle Council. He can see one kid, “J”, (SB ID 12164914), but cannot see the other kid, “A”, (SB ID 13360634). I’ve confirmed that both kids are listed as connected to him as the parent in Scoutbook.
Thanks!
Renewals looks at “relationships” in my.Scouting.
The second Scout with first initial “A.” has the parent / child relationship with the other parent, who has first initial “J.” Parent “J.” has to do the renewal.
Alternatively, Chief Seattle Council needs to add the parent / Scout relationship using the Registrar Tools.
Thanks, Jennifer - those are both accounts with the same parent (two variations on his name). I’ll kick it to our council registrar to see if they can help clean it up.

We have a similar situation. One of our families has two my.scouting accounts, but one scout doesn’t show up for renewal in either one. They are logged into the account with the email account/parent that is connect to them. BSA ID 13816593. As Cub Master, in my.scouting, it shows his Renewal Status as “Initiated”. But that could have been me when I tried to do it for the family. This Scout has a Campership for BSA dues, so I can’t renew from the Unit side because it doesn’t give me the option for “Click to print for manual pay” at council.
For Renewal Issues: I recommend that They contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up the children. When they look up the children, they want to check children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that children are connected to parent with Only the correct BSA member ID number

I have a Scout that is showing on our Troop Roster, but when I try and do anything with her record in Scoutbook Plus I get an error message “The youth was not found within the active unit”. She has also disappeared from her parents’ my.scouting accounts and on the Troop side of my.scouting, I am unable to renew her, I get an error message “You do not have permission to access the specified resource”. This only happens with her record, I’m the Committee Chair and am able to renew other Scouts. BSA #136667121, SM User ID 10585747.
@EliasEl_Hage everything on membership looks fine - so asking Council would be next step on viewing the Scout
The Parents are a little strange as there are 2 Scout BSA#s with different Parents with Different Surnames. So Council needs to fix Parent Connections for Renewals - I recommend that They contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up the children. When they look up the children, they want to check children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that children are connected to parent with Only the correct BSA member ID number that the parent can log into
Yes, the parents have two different last names: K.K. & M.G. Currently I only see her dad K.K. connected, some how her mom M.G. got disconnected. She does have a younger brother in our boys Troop. Can we merge her 2 BSA#s?
I have many error ticket items pending with NCAC, including my earlier post on this thread, and nothing is getting done. Anything we can try on our end is better then doing nothing at all.
BSA# s cannot be merged - they can only be Managed, and then only if there is a my.scouting.org log in account - we can merge the SB accounts to the new BSA # which would pull in the Cub advancement record
The BSA# she is registered with in the Troop is a Florida number not a NCAC number - that could be causing issues
Right now neither of her parents can see her in their respective my.scouting accounts. Please merge the SB accounts. What happens if NCAC takes too long to fix this issue and her membership drop off?
there is a 60-90 day grace period for registrations - they keep changing day range so I am not sure where it is now
