Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
"I’m hoping you can help me. Ever since J. moved up to Troop 14 from Pack 15, my log-in for ScoutBook has been all messed up. I log in using my usual credentials and it brings me to Joshua’s page/info, but it gives a warning that “another user is using the same e-mail address”. And I can’t view anything having to do with Pack 15. This is problematic because my younger son is still in Cub Scouts.
Do you know how to get me to be able to access both boys’ accounts? None of the people in Pack 15 that I’ve spoken to have had kids in Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts at the same time, so they don’t know how to do this. I feel like you’re pretty knowledgeable about this stuff so I’m hoping you can help figure it out! And if you can’t, do you know who I can contact?
Thanks, I let her know. I have another parent (Dad) who is trying to log in to renew his younger scout’s membership, but he only can see his older scout. Maybe same issue? BSA Member ID: 140489150
@LauraCincotta This one is a bit more complicated, because the Dad has 2 BSA member ID numbers in your council, and his parent / child relationships are split between them.
I would recommend contacting the local council and ask them to pick one number for him to be primary. Then look up his children using the Registrar Tools, and in the “Relationships” tab / section, they should make sure that he is listed as parent only under the BSA member ID number that is primary.
Also, it would be good if the parent logged in to his account at my.Scouting and double-checked his mailing address and e-mail. There are some differences between the databases.
