A parent whose son recently crossed over to a troop is having trouble logging into Scoutbook. It says she already has an account, with a weird username that she wouldn’t have selected herself, when she tries to reset her password. I suggested she try using the “chat” feature at my.scouting to do it, as we have had some success with that before. She reached out to me, because the new troop isn’t having success helping her, but since her son is no longer on my roster I can’t see anything for her. When she put in her email address, it said she already had an account. When she retrieved the account, it gave her the weird username. When she tried to use that username to reset her password, it didn’t work. Her member ID is 13889524. Thanks!
@ErinBrown that User has Sign in with Apple on
I apologize. I don’t know what that does (I have only ever signed in using my username), and I am 100% sure she doesn’t know about it. How would she sign in normally and retrieve her username/password? Thank you!
@ErinBrown she needs to click the Box on the Screen that says sign in with Apple. That is how she set it up

@ErinBrown When a user has Apple sign in turned on, that means that she needs to sign in by:
- Clicking on the “Sign in with Apple” button
- Using her Apple username
- and using her Apple password
