Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
New Crossover Scout in the Troop.
The parent was not connected to his child, so I used “Send Invitation”. The parent accepted the invitation and is showing “Linked” to Scout, but cannot see his child’s information.
I can see the on the ‘Connection’ page: “This user have not set up SSO in scoutbook”
Parent can log into my.scouting.org AND Scoutbook using the same “Google Login”
In my.scouting.org, he has Member ID #14218877 and NO “User Name”.
In Scoutbook, he can log in but can’t see his Scout’s info.
When I look at his profile on Scoutbook Plus, no Member ID is shown.
Checked with Council, and they say:
“he does have 2 BSA IDs, but that is not the problem. His ID# 14218877 has a my.Scouting account attached to it but there is no Scoutbook account. The other ID has no my.Scouting or Scoutbook account.”
How to fix so that he can use his “Gmail Login” and all goes to the same account that is “Linked” with his Scout?
@DonovanMcNeil
parent is still not able to see scout’s details in Scoutbook.
On his dashboard, he sees “my account” but no section for “my family” or “my units”
@AnthonyArmenio you need to watch him log in and how he is logging in - then see what the MID it shows for the parent under profile and provide that information
@AnthonyArmenio ok that is fixed - with the NON-Email username login - you might want to watch her login so she can find scout - she is also not connected to scout for registration - council can help with that - the father is connected
