I have a scout where the parent has lost the ability to log into Scoutbook (this has been ongoing for almost a year but I am new to trying to solve this problem.) Resetting password has not worked. It is as if, the parent doesn’t exist in BSA. However, as an Admin if I log into Scoutbook, and click on the scout I can see the parent is fully connected. I click on the parent’s name, I am now in the “Modify Connected Adult” screen. It brings up the parent’s account in Scoutbook. The parent’s name, address, phone number and correct email address are shown but there is no Scoutbook ID or BSA ID for the parent under the profile picture. If I click on Edit Profile, it opens Internet Advancement and I get the following error “Error person not found for given GUID”.
The parent was a committee member in the past and I know they have a BSA ID. Unfortunately I do not know their BSA ID or how to retrieve it. Scout’s BSA ID: 136301763
I am hoping that the Scoutbook Admins can look behind the curtain and give me a direction. Running this problem through council in the past by others has not resulted in success. I’m giving it a new try.
