Parent/Scout Connection Issue After Inter-Council Transfer

Hi,

We recently had a Scout transfer into our Pack from another council. The transfer itself went through, but it appears the parent/guardian connection did not process correctly.

Here are the details:

  • Scout BSA ID: 142043842 (Our Pack & Council)

  • Scout BSA ID: 140640993 (Old Pack & Council)

  • Parent BSA ID: 142043843 (Our Pack & Council)

Issue Summary

  • In Scoutbook, the parent appears connected to the Scout.

  • However, when clicking the parent profile from the Scout’s page, Scoutbook displays “user undefined.”

  • The parent cannot log in properly.

  • When the parent attempts to access their account, they receive:
    “Relationship verification needed – access will be limited on 12/31/2025.”

  • The parent currently has no functional access to their Scout in Scoutbook Plus.

What We Need

Could you please reconnect or properly re-establish the parent/guardian relationship between the two BSA IDs, and ensure the parent’s account is fully active and recognized in the current council?

That Parent Member ID is from your council

@DarrenFerlazzo in SB+ > Scout Profile page > Relationship area > by parents name does it say Initiated?

@DarrenFerlazzo One possible solution not tried yet would be > call council > have them use Registrar tools to end the parent relationship > then re-establish the relationship > this looks like it happened with beascout in an automatic process to begin with.

That is correct l, its his new BSA Id

It shows that he is fully connected.
