@AmyCrone now they should be able to go to Edit Profile for the Scout > all the way at bottom click Invite Scout > then add correct email and invite Scout > then Scout just has to log in with that email info
Perfect, thank you so much!
The parent does not see a way to invite the scout. I’m looking at the parent’s screen and I can verify this as well.
Have the parent login, go to the Scout, hit edit profile, scroll all the way to the bottom and hit the invite button…
Has the parent logged out and back in? I’m wondering if it’s not seeing the update that got pushed by @DonovanMcNeil.
Yes, the update was made on Saturday and the parent tried logging in Sunday and today.
This usually means the Scout connected already.
Yeah I was not sure IF that would allow a invite @AmyCrone - I would suggest making the Scout a MYST account - have them go to my.scouting.org > Create account (for Scout) > Make sure it matches up to the Scout > then they can use those credentials to get in
Okay, I’ll have them try that.
Can you clear emails from bsa id 130890924 and 12564988? the first lost access to his email address altogether and the second is a recent crossover that is not reciving troop emails. Thank you!
Can the Scouts cannot log in to change it them self? @Rhiangel
1st one can no longer access the recovery email. The 2nd lost all.access for se reason when he moved from pack to Troop.
@Rhiangel The first one (130890924) was locked. I have unlocked it. Has the Scout lost access to the e-mail address associated with that account? If so, then he will probably need to go through your local council to update the e-mail and reset the password.
Please try sending a test e-mail to the second Scout (12564988) to see if that issue is fixed.
I have a scout, ID# 12668118, whose parents are not able to get to the Scout’s Info page to add the email address. It just shows up as a blank page.
@DerrickWBrown I do not see a Scout with that BSA member ID number or Scoutbook userID.
My apologies, I provided the wrong BSA member ID, it should have been 126681118. They also provided a username of 2783420.
@DerrickWBrown I would have the parents work with the Scout to create an account at my.scouting.
They need to be careful to use the Scout’s first name – not a nickname and try to connect to the already existing BSA member number.
