Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I have a parent who has been trying to retrieve her account. I see two accounts for her son. One is under the son’s name, one is under the dad’s name, and both use the mom’s email address (I’m sure they put her email address on the form). She has been unable to retrieve her account info in order to pay for his renewal (which expired 12/31). I have referred her to call our council in order to expedite getting the renewal taken care of, but I am hoping to sort out the accounts so that they don’t have this issue in the future. One of them (the one in the dad’s name) has a member ID of 137482702. The other account, which is using the Scout’s name, gives me an error message when I try to view it.
@ErinBrown if you are Key 3 you can go to my.scouting.org > Unit > Roster and get the Member ID for the Scout as that would be best - but I will see if I can find anything with this info
@ErinBrown I have searched, but I don’t think the Mom has an account. The Scout and the Dad are both using Mom’s e-mail address.
The Dad’s username (login) is the Mom’s e-mail address. The Dad is the one with the parent / child “relationship” (at my.Scouting) that is needed to renew the Scout’s registration.
