Seeing a strange bug in my newly created Calendar Events. During the setup and anytime I’m in the “Edit Event” screens my list of Scouts and Adults match what I would expect from my current Roster. However, when I’m checking RSVP status from the event page in the Calendar I’m seeing a handful of parents who were never registered adults (Winter and McWilliams surnames if that’s helpful) and haven’t had a kid in the Troop for over a year. I have no way of removing them from the list as far as I can tell. I just started seeing this issue in the last month or so if that’s helpful.
There is a bug keeping scouts and parents in events even beyond the grace period. It’s been reported to the developers, but there’s no timeline on when it might get fixed.
What is different here is that you’re reporting it’s happening for new events too. The bugs I’ve seen have been limited to events created while the scouts were still on the roster, so the bug you’ve identified may or may not be related to the already-known bugs.
@GrantMullins what is the defined event type?
So far I’ve only seen it on Campouts.
Yeah looks like McWilliams are still on the Real roster at my.scouting.org
Maybe that’s part of the bug? I can only find him if I go to the roster and then filter on “Members Eligible to Renew”. He doesn’t show up on my current members at all. Maybe they’ll disappear once the expiration grace period ends?
The Scouts also randomly showed up on my roster, even though some of them crossed in the Spring and are registered in troops and one of them hasn’t been in our unit for two years. The issue is that they were automatically added (by the system) to events and then their membership was ended. Once their membership is ended, we no longer have access to be able to remove them from the calendar event.
In my instance these events we’d all created well after the boys and parents were gone.
@GrantMullins yes Devs found some bug here - watch the change log for updates
