I am experiencing a similar problem with an ASM as detailed in this post: Permissions Manager in Scoutbook+ shows leader Position/Roles expiredt

The Permissions Manager Position/Role Manager in Scoutbook Plus will not allow me to update an ASM’s permissions because he shows as" Position/Roles expired". Help?

Member ID and Council: Scout Member ID is 134430252 and Scoutbook User ID is 1596267. Baltimore Area Council

@PeterMonaghan1 that user is not registered in the Troop - those are old Fake Troop leader memberships from Legacy SB. That user needs to register with the Troop. Key3 can look at my.scouting.org Roster to see this

Thanks for this. However, I did check the roster on Scouting.org and he isn’t there. But when I check Scoutbook & Scoutbook Plus he is listed as an ASM. Please advise. Thanks…

@PeterMonaghan1 it cannot be said clearer. my.scouting.org is the official roster - he is not there then he is not registered in the unit.
Your unit made a fake leader position for this person in the past in Scoutbook.
The user needs to register in the troop.

@PeterMonaghan1 It looks like the user was previously registered with the troop, but his registration expired / lapsed 10/31/2025. He needs to multiple register again with the troop.

It would be the whole process again - yes

@PeterMonaghan1 The user is already registered as an adult leader in another unit (Cub Scout pack), so he would not need to pay again.

Here are the steps to multiple register:

  1. Log in to his account at my.Scouting.org
  2. Click on “My Application”.
  3. Click on the “Transfer / Multiple Applications” tab.
  4. Click on the “Multiple” button.
  5. Then follow the prompts.
