Recharter - Error Not Found

Regardless of choosing E-Check or pay in office, after I click “Pay and Post Renewal” I see an error message at the top which says “Error Not Found” and “Whoops! It looks like we were unable to generate your charter for signature. No payment has been taken. Please retry again.”

Anyone solve this issue?

@BryanSkarke do you now how to use Developer tools? can you turn on Network and see what is RED?

@DonovanMcNeil Exploring some unknown territory here… but I did try.

I was told this error is being seen by more than just me, so I suspect there may be a bigger issue. I’m curious if anyone has been able to successfully submit in the last 24hours?

Update 12/27: I am still unable to submit our recharter due to this error.

I am stuck on the pay and post renewal page. It doesn’t matter if I choose “pay at council” or “e check”,every time I hit “pay and post renewal” it just sits there and does the little icon spin. This is for both my laptop and iPhone and has been happening for over a week now

@JuliannaGrabenstette have you tried an incognito window?

Thank you so much, it worked!!! Phew!

By incognito do you mean a “new private window” in my browser? I tried that and I am still getting the error message that won’t allow me to proceed regardless of selecting pay at council or e-check and then entering the phone and address fields that become accessible when deselecting pay at council.

I have tried using an Incognito window and I am still getting the “Not Found” error. Tonight I also tried using my phone’s internet connection to rule out any ISP issues. Still stuck…

I cleared the cache, used incognito, restarted the computer, refreshed the roster just before clicking validate and pay, entered all the demographic fields just in case, tried 5 times the same order. Same result - faint pay and post renewal button has a faint endless wheel spinning. Using Firefox. Changed other privacy settings from strict to standard. Still an error box with no details briefly appears when trying to pay at council.

I hate to suggest it, because it sounds like you have done everything right, but they do recommend Chrome. It might be worth a try since you tried nearly (or totally) everything else. Your council might have to enter a support ticket.

MS Edge did the trick. Thanks for helping to problem solve.

Wow! Edge is Chrome based, so yeah, almost the same thing. Great news! Still too fragile of a system, but awesome that you got through.

Only solution I found was to use Firefox instead of Chrome.

That is a great opposite experience!

@RobertBart - that is good news… I wonder if perhaps some chrome add-in was working against the process.

Don’t think so, tried incognito mode with extensions disabled, here’s the errors from the console during that session. (removed identifying? info)

I just tried it again in Chrome - Incognito Mode, and it worked! I know I had tried this previously, but either something is fixed, I had some luck, or some of both. Thank goodness…

I tried through both Chrome and Microsoft Edge and got the same error. I finally logged off the system on my computer and accessed it through my phone using Safari and got it to go through. I’m not sure what the error is, but this worked for me.
