I am currently receiving the following alert in Scoutbook:
“Your relationship to the following youth needs to be validated or access will become limited on 12/31/25.”
However, I am already linked to my son in Scoutbook. While troubleshooting, I discovered that I have two BSA ID numbers (****0816 and ****16921). I linked both of my IDs on the Scouting.org website hoping it would resolve the issue, but the alert is still appearing.
Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? When I contacted the council, they confirmed that I am linked correctly and were unsure why I am still receiving the alert.

The reason you are getting this warning is your son C is connected to MID 921.
Please contact your Council and ask them to use the relationship tab of Registrar Tools to move C from MID 921 to MID 816. About 24 hours later the message will go away.

Beginning this summer I started receiving a “Relationship Verification Needed” message on Scoutbook Plus but when I or Troop leaders tried to add the link it showed we were already linked. Back in Sep 2024, my son (and I) transferred from VA to CA so my son and I ended up with four troop IDs (scout and adult in VA and scout and adult in CA). I did some troubleshooting with council and regional and it appears that the old (VA) scout ID is attached to my son’s name but the only ones that can fix this is national. This has contributed to Troop reports not accounting for him for advancements or membership.
I’ve been waiting since October and need to register my son by the end of December but don’t want to register to the wrong Scout ID.
Right now the Scout ID linked on scoutbook shows as 13xx089. The scout ID linked my.scouting.org is xxxxxx789. I need him to be linked to xxxxxx789 on both. I also need to make sure it is linked to me as a relationship as his Father—my member ID xxxxxxx848. Would appreciate anyone’s help. Thanks in advance.

I’m now trying to renew for my son (removed by Moderator). On scoutbook plus it shows he’s eligible to renew but when I go to my.scouting I get this screen:

When I click start renewal it shows me the following:
Want to make sure his registration doesn’t expire but I can’t tell if it was somehow already done. The first picture shows an order ID number as if it was done but also shows that registration is about to expire (also what is being displayed on scoutbook). Any help would be greatly appreciated. @CesarRodriguez Unfortunately, I am not able to help with that. Please contact your local council for assistance. While your son’s membership expires soon, he should be covered by the grace period.

With Scoutbook+ I’m receiving this Relationship verification needed box for my child. My son is 19 no longer in scouting dropped off 1.5 years ago. It will not allow me to connect to him and he can not connect us since he is an adult now. This is happening to me and my husband. How can we get this box to stop displaying. @SarahBlaesing I have fixed this, although you might need to do a hard refresh in Scoutbook Plus to stop seeing the message.
