I’m the New Member Coordinator for our troop, and therefore have the permission to approve new scouts to the troop. As part of the new annual renewal process, my committee chair asked me to track the monthly renewals, to ensure that scouts aren’t dropped unintentionally.
Does anyone else find it strange that while the NMC can approve new scouts to join the troop, that they don’t have the authority to approve renewals? Seems like a difference without a distinction to me.
@CharlesSemple
This is an issue to take up with your Council. The my.scouting.org team only works from tickets opened by Council staff. They do not monitor the forums.

Can I get help merging my son’s account with mine? I got an email about renewing his membership but when I click the link, it says renewal not allowed. And he is not showing up on my account.
@LoisHeit you need to talk to council on that
@LoisHeit
It appears as if your BSA Member ID is associated with Baltimore Area Council while your sons’ a have IDs in Coastal Georgia Council (old) and National Capital Area Council (current). Based on their expiration dates, you should not receive any renewal notices until November. Part of the issue may be the different councils. As Donovan said, you will need to speak with your Council on this for assistance.
@edavignon Wondering if you could connect my Tiger Cub with my account. All my calls to the local council haven’t been answered. He is in Pack 1775, (name removed) I am hoping if he is connected online, I can just go ahead with the online renewal. I can provide my number if needed. Thank you!
@LoisHeit SUAC cannot make connections for renewals
@LoisHeit are you signing in with Google or using a username?
Last year someone here helped me get my other scouts connected to my account. That is all that I want help with.
@LoisHeit Please log all the way out, then log back in again.
You already have the correct parent / child relationship at my.Scouting. You just had the wrong BSA member ID number set as primary at my.Scouting. I have fixed this for you.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!

@LoisHeit Please contact your local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up your children. In the “Relationships” tab / section, they need to remove you if you are listed as parent under your secondary BSA member ID numbers. Then they should add you as parent under your primary BSA member ID number, the one ending in -877.
My son’s registration said auto renewal i cannot recover my username and password to login. I am confused as to whether he’s signed up or not. Can someone please call me 732 948 0735.
@KatharineDocherty - this is a question for your unit or council.
@KatharineDocherty you should be able to sign in to my.scouting.org the same way as here - just click sign in with Google
@KatharineDocherty
Auto renewal has issues. You should log in to my.scouting.org, click My Applications then My Renewals.
